What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Supervisor position at Waterview Lodge LLC Rehabilitation and Healthcare?
Key Responsibilities
· Clinical Supervision: Directs and supervises nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) to ensure compliance with care standards, policies, and procedures. Additionally, serves as a float nurse/supervisor or charge nurse across units to cover staffing gaps, callouts, etc., as needed
· Admissions: Assist with admissions for the facility.
· Meetings: Participate in weekly Medicare Quality Assurance, Risk, and Care Plan meetings
· Documentation: Investigate and document incidents (e.g., falls, complaints) and implement corrective actions. Collect all statements from staff on the unit at the time of the incident. Review care plans and update them as needed. Complete thorough and accurate nursing notes on care activities, changes in resident conditions, and incidents. Assist in the completion of admissions and its records.
· Patient Care Oversight: Performs unit rounds, reviews patient care, and addresses family or patient grievances.
· Staff Development: Orients and mentors nursing personnel.
· Compliance & Safety: Maintains compliance with health regulations, manages infection control protocols and handles emergency situations.
· Any other nursing related assignments
Required Qualifications
· Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
· Relevant clinical experience in a clinical setting (2-5 years).
· Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
· Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
