What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forestry Assistant position at Watertown SD Park & Recreation?
This position supports the work of the Watertown Parks and Recreation Department to offer the community excellent recreational opportunities.
Essential Functions
Employee will:
1. Be required to hold or obtain a Class B CDL.
2. Complete duties including assisting the Forestry Department with spring tree planting along with tree trimming and removal throughout the summer.
3. Perform other duties include feeding the wood chipper, raking, and cleaning up after tree removals are complete.
4. Drive chipper truck, tractor loader, and dump trucks with loads to the landfill.
5. Position run from late-April through October as weather allows.
