Role Description The Loan Officer role is a full-time, on-site position located in Asheville, NC. In this role, the Loan Officer will originate residential mortgage loans, guide customers through the loan application process, and provide personalized guidance on suitable loan products. Daily responsibilities include meeting with prospective borrowers, gathering and verifying financial documentation, inputting and updating loan information in internal systems, and maintaining communication with customers, real estate partners, and internal underwriting and processing teams. The Loan Officer will also monitor loan pipelines, ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies, and contribute to local business development through networking and outreach activities.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of residential mortgage products, loan structures, and the end-to-end mortgage process.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and professionally.
- Solid analytical and mathematical skills for evaluating borrower financial profiles and determining loan eligibility.
- Comfort with using mortgage origination software, CRM tools, and standard office applications to manage loan files and customer data.
- Understanding of federal, state, and local lending regulations and commitment to ethical lending practices.
- Proven ability to meet production goals while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and a high level of organization.
- Ability to work on-site in Asheville, NC, collaborate with branch team members, and engage in community and referral partner networking.
- Prior experience as a Loan Officer, mortgage banker, or in a related financial services role is preferred.
- Active NMLS license or eligibility to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing as required.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is beneficial.
