We're partnering with a respected healthcare organization seeking a Director, People Services to serve as the senior HR leader for a community-focused facility in Northern Nevada. This role is ideal for a collaborative HR leader who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on leadership. You'll work closely with executive leaders to strengthen organizational culture, support workforce planning efforts, improve employee engagement, and ensure compliance across all areas of Human Resources.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the senior HR leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership
- Lead employee relations, labor relations, talent acquisition, and compliance initiatives
- Partner with operational leaders to align workforce strategies with organizational goals
- Support employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and culture-building efforts
- Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution
- Oversee labor relations activities, including collective bargaining agreement administration and union partnership support
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
- Utilize workforce data and metrics to identify opportunities for organizational improvement
- Develop and mentor HR team members while fostering a high-performance culture
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
- 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Healthcare HR leadership experience within a hospital or health system environment
- Experience leading employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, compliance, and performance management functions
- Experience supporting executive leaders and organizational decision-making
- Strong coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience supervising HR professionals
Preferred Experience
- Acute care hospital experience
- Union and labor relations experience
- Collective bargaining agreement administration
- Grievance management and arbitration preparation
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
- Workforce planning and retention strategy development
- Employee engagement and culture transformation initiatives
