Primary Objectives and Responsibilities
- Own and drive consolidated revenue growth, gross margin expansion, and sales effectiveness across all business units.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy, including market segmentation, channel strategy (direct vs. dealer/distributor/rep), pricing architecture, and go-to-market execution.
- Partner with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders to present performance, forecasts, and key initiatives at the board level.
- Establish and standardize sales processes, KPIs, forecasting methodologies, and CRM utilization across the organization.
- Evaluate and optimize pricing strategies, discount frameworks, and commission structures to align incentives with profitability and growth objectives.
- Lead sales talent strategy, including recruiting, development, performance management, and succession planning across operating companies.
- Drive accountability through consistent cadence of performance reviews, pipeline management, and KPI tracking.
- Manage Marketing efforts across all brands of Watershield Industries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance, and marketing to improve alignment, increase conversion rates, and enhance customer experience.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, including expansion into new geographies, customer segments, and product adjacencies.
- Support M&A initiatives, including commercial due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition sales optimization.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and strategic partners to enhance market position and drive growth.
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, including multi-entity or multi-division responsibility.
- Proven experience in manufacturing and distribution environments, including both direct sales and dealer/distributor networks.
- Demonstrated success managing complex sales organizations with varied territories, exclusivity structures, and product lines.
- Background of leading experienced sales personnel to individual and corporate success.
- Experience interacting with executive leadership, boards of directors, and/or private equity investors.
- Strong track record of achieving revenue targets while improving gross margins and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to ~40%.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deep understanding of market segmentation, customer buying behavior, and competitive positioning.
- Expertise in pricing strategy, margin management, and sales incentive design (commission structures, bonus plans, etc.).
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to interpret and communicate performance metrics, forecasts, and ROI-driven decisions.
- Experience building and scaling CRM-driven sales organizations (e.g., pipeline discipline, weighted forecasting, KPI dashboards).
- Ability to operate effectively across multiple business models, including niche manufacturing, national distribution, and territory-based sales structures.
Pay: $150,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
