Summary Description
The Kingdom Capital Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new investment relationships with faith-aligned organizations, churches, and ministries. This role serves as a key driver of WatersEdge’s asset growth, expanding our client base and assets under advisement while strengthening relationships with existing partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of institutional asset management and a passion for serving faith-based organizations.

Broad Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategy for business growth, including prospecting, networking, and outreach efforts for Kingdom Capital, a WatersEdge program for cash, asset, and endowment management.
- Identify and engage potential institutional clients, including schools, universities, churches, ministries, and faith-based organizations.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to develop materials and campaigns that support business development efforts related to Kingdom Capital.
- Serve as a trusted resource for organizations seeking cash and asset management solutions aligned with their faith-based values.
- Clearly communicate WatersEdge’s investment philosophy, strategies, and Kingdom Capital offerings to potential and existing clients.
- Partner with Trust Administration, Church Extension Fund, and Advancement teams to provide holistic financial solutions to clients.
- Maintain regular communication with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover new opportunities for engagement.
- Represent WatersEdge at conferences, events, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and credibility within the faith-based financial community.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact client portfolios.
Preference Given For:

Preferred Degrees: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or other advanced degrees a plus.

Investment license or certifications (e.g., Series 63)

Industry Knowledge: Experience in investment management, wealth advisory, private equity, or institutional asset management.

Client Segments: Familiarity with institutional clients (e.g., endowments and foundations).

Product Knowledge: Understanding of traditional and alternative investment products, including private equity, real estate, hedge funds, and SMAs.

Job Requirements
- As a Christian organization, WatersEdge qualifies for a religious organization exception to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Therefore, this position requires active membership in a Southern Baptist church (which is defined as a church which is cooperating with Oklahoma Baptists).
Working Environment
- This position generally works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
- Travel and operation of a vehicle may be required.
