Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave
- Manage reservations and waitlists using reservation software or guest book
- Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections
- Provide accurate wait time estimates and communicate updates to guests
- Answer phone calls and assist with basic guest inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
- Assist with managing guest flow during busy periods
- Communicate with servers and management regarding table status and availability
- Help maintain menus, wine lists, and promotional materials
- Assist with light front-of-house duties as needed
- Provide a professional and friendly first impression of the winery and bistro
- Previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using reservation or POS systems
