Housekeeper

Position Summary

At Waters Edge Vacation Rentals, we believe exceptional guest experiences begin with attention to the smallest details. Our housekeeping team plays an essential role in ensuring every property is fully prepared for arriving guests by supporting our external housekeeping team and maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of our vacation rental properties.

This position focuses on the finishing details that elevate the guest experience while assisting with daily operational tasks as needed throughout the property. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, proactive, and takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces.

Essential Responsibilities

Guest Ready Presentation

• Make and finish beds to company standards.
• Stage and arrange pillows, blankets, décor, and furniture.
• Set towel displays according to company presentation standards.
• Replace guest welcome items and amenities.
• Perform final presentation touches before Quality Control inspections.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns or damaged items.

Housekeeping Team Support

• Restock guest supplies throughout all units.
• Help maintain efficient turnover operations.
• Support Quality Control by correcting minor presentation items.

Laundry Support

• Deliver clean linens to units as needed.
• Collect dirty linens from units.
• Assist with stripping dirty linens and towels from units as needed.
• Wash and dry linens.
• Fold linens and towels to company standards.
• Sort laundry and stain treat appropriately.
• Restock linen totes and housekeeping carts.
• Maintain organization within the laundry area.
• Assist with laundry processing during busy turnover days.

Property Maintenance & Cleaning

• Clean interior windows and glass doors.
• Clean entry doors and fingerprints.
• Clean patio and balcony furniture.
• Clean outdoor grills.
• Sweep patios, porches, and exterior guest spaces.
• Remove cobwebs and debris around entrances.
• Help maintain common areas including:
• Lobby
• Hallways
• Stairwells
• Elevator
• Game room
• Public restrooms
• Laundry facilities

Inventory & Organization

• Restock housekeeping closets.
• Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
• Notify management when supplies are running low.
• Organize storage areas and linen inventory.
• Maintain housekeeping carts and equipment.
• Ensure supplies are properly labeled and stored.

Additional Duties

• Complete daily and weekly tasks assigned through Trello.
• Assist with seasonal deep cleaning projects.
• Perform additional housekeeping or operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management.
• Reliable transportation.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Schedule

• Seasonal
• Part-time
• 20-30 hours
• Working hours range between 10am-5pm
• 3-5 days per week
• Weekend availability required during peak season.
• Flexible scheduling based on occupancy.
