What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Sterilization Technician position at Waterloo Pediatric Dentistry?
Waterloo Pediatric Dentistry is looking to add a Sterilization Technician to our team! We are looking for a team player who loves kids! Ideal candidates are flexible, reliable, outgoing, friendly and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment! We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to provide quality care for the children of the Cedar Valley. We will support the training and development of individuals new to the dental field! This position is for Monday-Thursday. We offer competitive compensation along with a four day work week to help our team members spend more time with their families. Compensation will be based on experience and skills but will include opportunities for bonuses or incentives.
Responsibilities
- Make patients feel welcome at Waterloo Pediatric Dentistry
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
- Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Must enjoy working with children
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations required by OSHA
- Good computer skills
- High school diploma
- CPR certified
- Additional certification or training is an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
