Marine Yard Manager

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Marine Yard Manager to take charge of our yard operations. This role is ideal for someone who has strong leadership skills, understands boat handling, and can coordinate a fast-paced team. You'll be responsible for organizing boat movement, overseeing seasonal prep, and maintaining safety and efficiency throughout the yard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all boat movements—hauling, launching, blocking, bottom washing, shrink wrapping, and staging for service or delivery.
• Operate and maintain forklifts, travel lifts, trailers, and other equipment.
• Supervise and train yard staff to ensure safe, efficient, and professional work practices.
• Coordinate daily workflow with the service and sales departments to meet deadlines and priorities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of yard and storage areas.
• Conduct seasonal prep and decommissioning of vessels.
• Enforce safety and environmental compliance procedures.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in a marine yard or marina operations role.
• Proven ability to safely move and block vessels of varying sizes.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Forklift and/or travel lift experience (certifications a plus).
• Must be physically able to work outdoors year-round and lift heavy equipment as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Familiarity with boat types, trailers, and basic systems (engine, fuel, electrical) is helpful.
