- Primary point of contact and lead for High School (9-12) Robotics program
- Lead practice and build days up to 4 evenings per week and Saturdays in the Robotics lab located at Waterford Mott High School
- Ability to take part in FRC season kick off during the first week in January
- This event does fall near the end of the holiday break historically, attendance of the coach is a requirement for this position
- Coordination and plan for movement of the High School Robotics trailer to and from events
- Lead and take part in multi-day tournaments including weekends throughout the season
- Recruit, register and engage with WSD students for the High School Robotics program
- Recruit, communicate and facilitate approved mentors for the program
- Develop and organize team through two seasons per school year
- Coordinate all program logistics with the Waterford Robotics Coordinator including but not limited to game sets, robot kits, tournament registration, yearly team fees, practice times and other are required for a successful season
- Coordinate with the Waterford Robotics Coordinator to develop master facility usage, locations and team meeting schedules to ensure building usage is reserved in advance
- Assist in developing and lead summer camp opportunities for WIRED robotics
- Support the Waterford community by participating in community outreach activities including but not limited to the Waterford Labor Day parade and the annual high school Kettering and Mott football game.
- Identify, plan and implement a yearly budget for the High School Robotics programs
- Search out funding sources including sponsorships and grants to help find opportunities to enhance the program
- Keep an inventory of robot kits, game sets and devices including a plan for replace on an annual basis
