Waterford Public Schools has a position available for a student seeking experience as a Video Intern. The Video Intern will assist the Superintendent’s Office by creating and editing video content that highlights school events, programs, and initiatives. This position offers an opportunity for a high school student to gain hands-on experience in video production and communications while supporting district projects.
Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. The Waterford Board of Education is a nine-member elected body.
Responsibilities include:
- Filming and editing short videos for district use.
- Assisting with planning and preparing video shoots.
- Covering school and community events as assigned.
- Maintaining video files and equipment.
- Working with staff to showcase student and district achievements.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current high school student with experience creating video content.
- Basic skills in video editing software (iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar).
- Creative, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Schedule:
- Part-time, flexible hours to fit around school commitments.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
Hourly Rate: $16.94 per hour
