The Waterford Public Schools seeks an experienced, dynamic, inspirational, student-centered leader to serve in the position of Assistant Principal at Clark Lane Middle School. Waterford Public Schools serve approximately 2,400 students in PK-12. The District includes three elementary, one middle and one high school. According to the State of Connecticut Next Generation Performance Accountability System, Waterford Public Schools ranks in the top 25% of K-12 school districts in the state.
The Clark Lane Middle School Assistant Principal is a part of an administrative team made up of a Principal and an Assistant Principal. The successful candidate is expected to have secondary teaching experience, knowledge of middle school organizational philosophy and evidence of successful school-based leadership experience. Master's Degree in Education

Connecticut Intermediate Administration Certification (Endorsement 092)

Minimum of five years teaching experience and/or administration experience

Experience in the supervision and evaluation of staff and proven leadership in the areas of curriculum, student achievement, assessments and the development of positive school climate.

Demonstrates exceptional communication skills that will support school and district goals and fosters positive relationships throughout the school community.

Demonstrates knowledge of, and effective use of, technology in instruction, management and communication.
