Long-Term Substitute Science Teacher

Waterford Public Schools has an immediate vacancy for a team-oriented individual. Waterford Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Science Teacher at Waterford High School, effective January 16, 2026 through April 20, 2026.

Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. The District’s facilities include three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The Waterford Board of Education is a nine-member elected body.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

State of Connecticut endorsement

• 030 Biology Grades 4-12, 033 Earth Science Grades 7-12, or 034 General Science Grades 4-12 is required.

Daily Rate for a certified substitute teacher is $150.00. On the 41st day of the same assignment, the daily rate shall be paid at BA step 1, $270.50. Retired teachers may be eligible for compensation up to $538.19/day.
