In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring seamless communication, appointment scheduling, and administrative support. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment and facilitate smooth operations within our healthcare facility. You will be working closely with the dentist to help run the day to day operation and managing the team and office.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and verify their information to ensure accurate records
- Back up front desk when needed like schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments efficiently using our electronic health record system
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and gather relevant medical history details
- Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare provider, and insurance companies to facilitate smooth care delivery
- Manage incoming calls, inquiries, and follow-up communications with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain organized patient files, appointment logs, and administrative documentation
- Support billing processes and insurance claim submissions as needed to ensure timely payments
- Help in minor housekeeping
- Maintain the reception area
- Be a team player and be open to be cross trained
- Verify patient insurance and benefits and explain to the patient
- Help with checkouts and payments
- Help doctors and team with other minor duties.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting with strong familiarity of dental procedures and terminology is plus but not a requirement .
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask to help the team and make the day go smooth.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and external partners
- Proficiency in dental/medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling software and electronic health records systems
- Knowledge of dental or medical office operations is a plus, along with previous office experience
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality
- A proactive attitude with the motivation to improve patient experiences and streamline office workflows
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
