JOB TITLE
Server
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports directly to the Dietary Director.
Position Functions
Physical stamina is required for bending, lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed indoors in well-lighted and ventilated surroundings. This position requires standing and walking for the majority of the shift, with intermittent sitting. Employees may be exposed to:
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Serve Safe/Clean or Level II Food Handler Permit preferred or required per facility policy.
Training And Experience
Uniforms must comply with The Waterford’s dress code and uniform policies.
Employees are expected to follow all requirements outlined in the Employee Handbook and perform duties as assigned by the Dietary Director.

Position Functions
- Responsible for taking elder meal orders.
- Responsible for serving meals in a courteous and timely manner.
- Responsible for pouring and serving beverages.
- Responsible for washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items used during assigned shifts.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for bussing tables after each meal
- Responsible for keeping the serving counter clean and organized at all times.
- Must follow all sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Dietary Director.

Training And Experience
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Previous food service experience preferred, but not required
