Job Description
Waterford Aviation is recruiting top-tier talent by seeking a highly self-motivated, confident, and results-driven Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our extremely busy and growing General Aviation team in a full-time position. This technician supports the business operation during a day shift by performing daily maintenance, repairs and inspections on General Aviation aircraft at our single location in Waterford, MI. In addition to performing these repairs and inspections, this technician is responsible for ensuring individual excellence, premium customer service as it relates performing maintenance, and alignment with the standards of industry-leading manufacturers Cirrus Aircraft and Diamond Aircraft, of which Waterford Aviation is an Authorized Service Center. Waterford Aviation primarily services modern piston-engine aircraft, and the shop currently operates (4) 10-Hour Shifts per week.
Responsibilities
- Report to Shop Manager or Shop Floor Leader and complete any & all assigned tasks within scope of FAA & Company standards
- Perform maintenance and repairs to keep customer aircraft working safely by efficiently inspecting, testing, maintaining and servicing components & systems in accordance with established manufacturer’s procedures and FARs
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Work with other team members to deliver high quality and on-schedule aircraft repairs
- Comply with DOT required Random Drug Screening Program
- Supply own basic maintenance tools and utilize specialized company-owned equipment and tools based on task requirements
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- FAA A&P valid certification required, IA certificate is a bonus
- 5 or more years of experience preferred (with experience on piston & turboprop aircraft)
- Cirrus, Diamond and Cessna experience preferred
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Reliable & punctual attendance is required
- Possess skills and knowledge to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on nearly all systems of each aircraft. This includes, but is not limited to: reciprocating engines (Lycoming & Continental), structures, landing gear, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, flight controls, etc.
- Be proficient in usage of computers, reading & interpreting paper and digital aircraft manuals, and operation of digital work order systems (EBIS by Veryon)

Pay: $28.00 - $48.00 per hour
