Job Description
Job Purpose:
Operates with minimal oversight from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Clinical Director is responsible for Clinical Oversight of Waterfall Clinical Services, guaranteeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and managing the nursing staff effectively. This position is vital during transitional phases and demands strong leadership, communication skills, and clinical expertise. Responsibilities include planning, executing, reviewing, delivering, and closing each project. The role entails maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle and collaborating with teams and management to ensure alignment of project scope with WCHC policies, procedures, and mission. Additionally, it involves working with employees, managers, and supervisors to develop necessary systems and procedures for daily operations, as well as providing training, information, and support to resolve issues and achieve objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and agency policies.
- Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
- Stay current with best practices in nursing and healthcare to ensure high standards of care.
- Assist in budget preparation and management for the nursing department.
- Monitor expenditures and implement cost-effective practices.
- Facilitate regular meetings to address issues, share updates, and promote teamwork.
- Manage process improvements and various special projects to implement solutions that meet key performance goals or reduce risks.
- Develop and execute the assigned project components, including production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; assess development; and improve efficiency, workflow, and deliverables.
- Prepare, evaluate, direct, and complete action plans, solve problems, generate reports and audits, identify trends, determine system needs, plan contingencies, and implement changes and improvements.
- Create schedules for the implementation of long-term plans and proposals.
- Monitor project progress, draft, and distribute periodic progress reports to leadership and stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison for managers, professional organizations, and vendors to ensure that assigned projects and organizational goals advance.
- Attend required meetings and prepare presentations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse licensure required; Bachelors of Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Current and valid Oregon nursing license.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Prior experience in a non-profit setting is a plus
- Basic Life Support Certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk while working at a computer
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Able to travel as needed
