Snack Bar Attendant (Tipped Position)
Related Titles: Sandtrap Grille Attendant
Reports to: Executive Chef
Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position.
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in food service, snack bar, or short-order cooking preferred.
- Basic knowledge of grilling and food preparation techniques is a plus.

- Ensures snack area is clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Prepare and serve simple grilled food items while providing excellent service to members at the snack bar. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the snack bar facilities.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Prepares food items (burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, etc.) using standard recipes and procedures
- Operates flat-top grill and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Takes and fulfills member orders in a friendly and timely manner.
- Maintains cleanliness of cooking area, counters, and equipment.
- Stocks food, beverages, paper goods, and supplies as needed.
- Monitors inventory levels and communicates shortages to management.
- Sets up, maintains, and breaks down snack bar station daily.
- Ensures all food is stored, labeled, and handled according to health standards.
- Maintains sanitation standards in compliance with local and state regulations.
- Handles credit cards and/or member charges accurately.
- Keeps snack bar area clean, organized, and presentable for members.
- Assists with additional duties as assigned by management.
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Food safety certification preferred (or must obtain within a specified time).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, bend, and reach frequently.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30–50 pounds.
- Continuous use of hands for food preparation and service.
- Work in outdoor and indoor environments, including heat and humidity.
- Exposure to hot cooking surfaces and kitchen equipment.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
