What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at WATEREE COMMUNITY ACTIONS INC?
Major Functions:
Under the direct supervision of the Head Cook this person will be responsible for preparing daily
meals for children.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for preparing, cooking and serving meals to children
• Must keep accurate records of Child and Adult Care Food program (CACFP) based on
Head Start guidelines and USDA
• Maintains a clean and sanitary kitchen area utilizing CACFP standards of sanitation
Knowledge and Abilities:
• Good written and verbal skills
• Must attend all trainings
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma/GED and have 6 months of food preparation and service
experience
Other Requirements:
• Must have a current physical exam and TB screening, and submit to each every two years
• Must have a current first aid certificate and CPR training or receive within the first 3
months of hire
• Must successfully pass a SLED/FBI background check
• Ability to respond positively to Child Abuse/Neglect clearance check and criminal
records check
Physical Demands:
Lift up to 10-40 lbs. occasionally
Stand, walk, bend, and stoop on occasion
Salary : $14 - $15
