Job Summary
As an acting team member of Waterdrops Express Car Wash, the Maintenance Tech performs assigned maintenance to the machinery of all locations. We require the Maintenance Tech to be proficient in welding, machine tools, hydraulics, electrical, motor controls, and fabrication. The Maintenance Tech works on all parts of the equipment. Bearings and shafts to VFDs and motor starters. Help installation, maintenance, and repair workers in maintenance, parts replacement, and repair of industrial machinery and electrical and electronic equipment. They repair machinery by fabricating new parts or repairing damaged components. Offer support and aid to Store Managers and Operational Managers by performing maintenance to the general operations of the facilities and the day-to-day business operations.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ of Industrial Mechanical, Pneumatics, PLC experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ of Electrical Experience - including 3 phase (Preferred), Low Voltage
- Clean driving record with no more than three (3) moving violations within the past 5 years; no more than two (2) preventable, at-fault accidents within the past 5 years.
- No impaired driving convictions within the past five (5) years and no charges currently pending.
Work Context
- Work Setting - Position requires above average amounts of physical activity in an outdoor car wash setting. There is an above average amount of manual labor involved in the job.
- Environmental Conditions - Position requires maintenance of the car wash mechanics. Potential exposure to car wash chemicals and incoming and outgoing traffic throughout the day. Conditions are hazardous, and the position requires candidates to be alert at all times. Candidates must follow our safety policy for PPE use, as some conditions that may be hazardous.
- Position may be exposed to working in wet or humid conditions, work near moving parts, outdoor weather conditions, risk of electrical shock.
- Body Positioning-Ability to intermittently and repeatedly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull, or do fine manipulations, climb ladders, and stand for prolonged periods. Ability to lift or move items of light to heavy weight, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Position requires regularly walking, standing, using hands, reaching with hands and arms.
- Position requires peripheral vision, ability to see color, ability to adjust focus, distance vision, close vision.
- Routine versus Challenging Work-Position is fast-paced at times and involves work that is dependent on the weather.
Primary Job Duties
- Ensures overall maintenance of facilities to include machinery, vehicles, and building structure.
- Accurately troubleshoot chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies.
- Position frequently communicates with Store Managers, staff, and administrative team. Making Service Calls and/or responding to messages (Text / Slack / Email).
- Perform periodic check-ups on all locations and perform repairs as needed.
- Must respond to all 911 repairs.
- Places orders for necessary repairs directly with vendors
- Performs a visual inspection of the tunnel.
- Purchases needed repair equipment for facilities such as machinery and tools.
- Delivers machinery parts and vending inventory to all facilities when needed.
- Is able to conduct repairs for customer damages such as the following:
- Side Mirrors, Windshield Wipers, Antennas Etc. Depending on the damage
- Oversee all Store Managers and provide them with the proper training needed to regulate and maintain a successful store.
- Maintenance Technicians are required to document all repairs and workday activities for each day and report it to the corporate office for proof of time worked.
- Tend and observe equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation.
- Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.
- Install or replace machinery(new or used), equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools.
- Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
- Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.
