Duties And Responsibilities
High school diploma or GED. At least three years of scheduling experience, with two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a medical practice environment.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of all OR surgeries and procedures, to include
- Verifies patient demographics and obtains pre-certifications for all surgeries and procedures from insurance carriers.
- Instructs patients on procedure protocol and responds to patient's questions and concerns.
- Acts as a liaison between referring physicians and surgeons for the communication of clinical data and to determine OR scheduling.
- Ensures that all pre-op processes and forms are completed and forwarded to the OR.
- Functions as a back-up to the front office staff as necessary.
- Performs automated functions that fall within job responsibility.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, patient relations and telephone skills required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records/systems
- Familiarity with commercial insurance processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task
