Job Overview

Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support medication administration and ensure adherence to care plans developed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and infection control practices
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Document patient progress, update care records, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding any concerns or changes in condition
Skills
- Proven experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
- Certification in First Aid and CPR; understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Ability to assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s
; heavy lifting capability required for certain tasks - Experience with medication administration, care planning, and patient monitoring
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and family members
