Responsibilities:
Assist licensed physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients with diverse needs
Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, including exercises, activities, and modalities
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and goals
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans
Perform tasks and duties as assigned by the therapy team, including assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in physical therapy assistant or related field preferred
Minimum 0 years of experience as a physical therapy assistant; experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities
Familiarity with electronic medical records and therapy software
