What are the responsibilities and job description for the Whole Home Water Filtration Installer position at Water Works Carolina?
Whole Home Water Filtration Installer
Location: Rock Hill, Fort Mill and Surrounding Areas
Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099) Pay: $400 per job (avg. job takes ~4 hours — equivalent to about $100/hour)
Schedule: Flexible — work is assigned on a per-job basis as installations become available
About the Role
Carolina Water Works is looking for a licensed and experienced Water Filtration Installer to join our growing team. You'll install, service, and troubleshoot whole-home water filtration and treatment systems for residential customers across the service areas. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys solving problems on-site.
Engagement Type
This is an independent contractor position (1099). You'll be engaged on a per-job basis rather than a fixed schedule — as installation jobs come in, you'll be offered the opportunity to accept and complete them. This structure offers flexibility to manage your own time and workload, while allowing you to take on as many or as few jobs as fit your availability. As an independent contractor, you'll be responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and equipment unless otherwise noted below.
Materials: Materials for each job are covered by Carolina Water Works. You'll be responsible for identifying exactly what's needed for each installation, purchasing those materials, and submitting receipts for reimbursement (or using a company account/card, if applicable). Bring your own standard tools for the trade.
Pay Structure
You'll be paid $400 per completed installation job. The average job takes about 4 hours, which works out to roughly $100/hour — faster, efficient techs can earn even more per hour.
