Duties/ Responsibilities:
This role includes
greeting guests
taking orders
preparing drinks
preparing light food items
maintaining a clean and organized cafe
handling cash and card transactions
ensuring every customer has a welcoming experience.
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are met
Required skills:
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic math and cash-handling skills
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Teamwork and reliability
Previous barista or food service experience is preferred but not always required
Required or preferred education and experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous barista, cafe, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred but not required
Experience operating a point of sale system and handling cash is an asset
Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso equipment is preferred; training can be provided
Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
