Job Summary:


WET is seeking an entry level full time self-motivated Environmental Engineer,Hydrogeologist, Geological Engineer, or Geologist who can independently apply core environmental engineering and geologic principles and standards to a wide range of projects. The ideal candidate will bring practical experience and technical knowledge to support the development of effective and constructible design solutions for environmental and geoscience projects. 


The successful applicant will collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary design teams to prepare high-quality project deliverables. Responsibilities include collecting field data, preparing and assisting with preparation of engineering reports, developing work plans and calculations, conducting field investegations, and overseeing drilling and construction activities, assure compliance with applicable state and federal environmental regulations and supporting various phases of project execution.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Soil and groundwater sampling.

  • Well logging.

  • Hydrogeological and environmental data analysis.

  • Soil classification

  • Preparation and assistance with implementation of work plans. 

  • Assistance with and preparation of engineering and project reports.

  • Assist with proposal preparation and marketing efforts.

  • Assit with geoscience based projects across Montana, the Rocky Mountain, and Pacific Northwest regions. 

  • Review for quality assurance and quality control to ensure compliance with WET standards. 

  • Convey design analysis and results effectively in written reports and documentation.  

  • Utilize effective written and oral communication. 

  • Travel to WET job sites, and other WET offices, as necessary.

  • Be safety conscious at all times.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Hyrdrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, , or related degree from an ABET accredited College or University. 

  • If not licensed, the ability to obtain an EI or GIT certification license within two years of employment. 

  • Minimum of 2 years experience preferred but not required.

  • Basic MS Office skills including, but not limited to, Word and Excel.

  • Valid Driver’s License and insurability under company policy required.


Preferred Skills:



  • Analyzing information and problem solving. 

  • Soil and groundwater sampling.

  • Well logging.

  • Hydrogeological and environmental data analysis.

  • Soil classification


Work Environment:



  • Combination of office work and fieldwork in various weather conditions.

  • Will require travel to multiple sites or remote locations.


Compensation and Benefits:


Salary will range is $60,000 to $75,000 annually and will be based on the successful candidate’s specific qualifications and experience. WET offers a competitive benefit package that includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance. In addition to the benefits package, WET offers performance-based bonuses, an Employee Sponsored 401k, and an employee stock ownership program (ESOP) which provides company ownership to all employees at no cost to the employee.
