What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Technician position at Water Engineering Services Inc?
Water Engineering Services Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Compliance Technician to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our account representatives and ensuring our customers remain compliant with local and state regulations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting account representatives with water treatment services for WES’s customer base
- Performing standard weekly service calls, including:
- Confirming tools and supplies before entering facilities
- Checking in/out with building management and reviewing prior punch lists
- Testing tower chemistries (PTSA, conductivity, pH, temperature, free chlorine)
- Completing MB dipslides and verifying logbooks are up to date
- Inspecting and maintaining chemical feed equipment (labels, leaks, pumps, controllers, inventory, cleanliness)
- Inspecting cooling towers (algae, cleanliness, fans, scale, spray pump)
- Completing updates in MPP logbooks and emailing required compliance updates
- Finalizing service calls in the WES App and issuing reports to customersStandard Weekly Service Call
- Maintaining accurate records, including Department of Health compliance paperwork
- Assisting with installation of new equipment and repairs to existing systems
- Participating in disinfections and cooling tower cleanings
- Communicating with building management and facility staff in a professional manner
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and around water treatment systems
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 30 or SST training preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Limited weekend work may be required a few times per year
