Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector that will report to the Quality Manager. The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that firearm components and finished products meet all quality standards, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product safety, reliability, and compliance with federal, state, and company standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company quality process and recording efforts.
· Develop Traveler documents for parts and finished guns that flow to different processes and production centers in the facility, and out to vendors.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement process improvements.
· Develop and maintain documentation related to quality processes, procedures, and standards.
· Track and maintain communications with Customer Service for RMA related issues.
· Maintain an orderly Quality Control Workspace.
· Inspect firearm components and assemblies at incoming, in-process, and final inspection stages using approved inspection methods.
· Conduct functional testing (e.g., trigger pull, safety mechanisms, cycling checks).
· Verify cosmetic quality (finish, markings, serial numbers).
· Verify proper serialization and traceability of all firearm components.
· Record inspection results accurately in quality logs or software systems.
· Create non-conformance reports (NCRs) for defective or out-of-spec items.
· Maintain traceability records.
· Always follow strict firearm handling and safety protocols.
· Ensure safe storage and controlled movement of firearms and controlled parts.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 2 years of Quality Inspection experience.
· A minimum of 1 Year Machine Shop Experience.
· Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices.
· Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Experience with MS Office
