Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Fuel Dock Attendant to join our team in Westerly, RI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely fueling boats, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized fuel dock area. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with fueling procedures and answer any questions they may have.
• Collect payment for fuel and other services accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fuel dock area, including removing trash and debris.
• Perform routine inspections of fuel equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations related to fuel handling and storage.
• Provide general assistance to marina customers as needed, including tying boats and offering directions.
• Work collaboratively with marina staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a marina or fuel dock environment.
• Ability to operate fuel pumps and handle fuel safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of boating and marina operations is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is based at our marina fuel dock in Westerly, RI. The role involves working outdoors near water and requires standing for extended periods. Safety and environmental awareness are critical components of this job.
