Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks with flatbed trailers to deliver goods across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction upon delivery.
- Verify shipment contents against delivery documents and obtain signatures when required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to load, unload, move heavy items, and handle physical tasks associated with warehouse work.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools to optimize delivery paths.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus; certification is advantageous but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a bonus but not mandatory for all roles.
