Kahut Waste Services, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a professional Customer Service Representative with positive high energy to join our team in Canby, Oregon. Schedule is Monday-Friday Shift is 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Starting pay is $21.00/hour, bilingual Spanish/English differential wage is $21.75/hour. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is an in-person position that requires attendance in a call center office setting. Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes & demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems. Interact with new or existing customers over the phone, and record information in the computer for customer service billing or product information. Chat with customers to activate, discontinue, or change services. Fill out contract forms, determine charges for service requested, collect deposits, prepare change of address records and issue discontinuance orders. Deliver services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill. Interact with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements and resolve problems or complaints in a courteous manner. Work in a fast paced, cooperative, high call volume environment with high attention to detail, while interacting with customers over the phone & by email. Engage or assist with sales for new or additional services. Prorate customer accounts based on account service changes. Assist in other areas as needed MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English required. Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in Spanish preferred. Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM (Words Per Minute) with 95% accuracy. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel & Outlook. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2 years of customer service or call center experience preferred. Fast and accurate typing, in addition to 10-key skills are required. Excellent organization and communication skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
