Fleet Maintenance Clerk - West Palm Beach, FL
The Fleet Maintenance Clerk plays a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly by supporting the maintenance team with scheduling, inventory management, and accurate data tracking. This position ensures that preventive maintenance is completed on time, parts are available when needed, and maintenance records are precise and up to date.
What You’ll Do
- Schedule preventive maintenance for fleet vehicles and coordinate required parts
- Maintain and organize repair orders, safety lane forms, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
- Accurately enter and verify maintenance data in internal systems
- Order parts for both day and night shifts with Shop Manager approval
- Manage parts inventory, including cycle counts and stock accuracy
- Receive, label, stock, and distribute parts to mechanics and leadership
- Review maintenance team timecards for accuracy and flag discrepancies
- Generate productivity, usage, and maintenance reports for management
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Support the team with additional duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 6 months of related experience (waste or trucking industry experience preferred)
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, data entry systems, and email
- Willingness to learn company-specific software applications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to prioritize work and maintain speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment
- Work is performed in a maintenance shop environment with exposure to machinery, tools, heavy equipment, chemicals, solvents, dust, and fumes
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work, with regular exposure to weather conditions and vibrations from trucks and shop equipment
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and environmental conditions
