We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented iWaste Technical Analyst I to join our innovative team. Duties
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
- Develop, test, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes utilizing Talend, Python, Bash scripts, and SQL to ensure accurate data integration from multiple sources such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and LinkedData.
- Design and optimize database schemas and data models to support efficient data analysis and reporting activities.
- Support Agile project management methodologies by participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to deliver timely data solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis using R, SQL, and analysis skills to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Maintain documentation of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes using Visio and other tools for transparency and compliance.
- Assist in the development of dashboards and reports that visualize key metrics related to waste management performance using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Engage in business analysis activities to understand operational needs and recommend scalable data-driven solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or a related field.
- Proven experience with SQL programming and database design principles; familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ETL tools such as Talend or scripting languages like Python and Bash for data processing tasks.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms including Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies combined with project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives effectively.
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as R or VBA for advanced data analysis tasks.
- Knowledge of linked data concepts and how they can enhance data integration across disparate sources is a plus.
- Excellent analysis skills with a keen eye for detail; ability to communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
