- 4/10s Schedule: Tuesday–Friday — 1:30 PM to 12:00am
- Occasional Overtime Required. Overtime also available

Candidates for employment must meet position requirements and successfully pass post offer employment examinations including:
- Background Check
- MVR Check (Clean driving record)
- Drug screen
- Union Diesel Mechanic Journeyman to perform maintenance and repairs on our fleet of 125 garbage trucks.
- Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Performs diagnostics and repairs on engine, aftertreatment, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems (12V and CAN)
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (Required)
- 3 year experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair
- Provide personal tools.
- Class B CDL OR the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
- Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
- Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information in English.

Working Conditions And Physical Effort
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
- Back, leg, arm and shoulder strength required to safely climb in, on and around vehicles to inspect and repair.
- Ability to work in awkward, tight, or restricted spaces for extended periods of time; Requires the ability to sit, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, and be able to get up and down from a supine position.
- Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts which require following basic safety precautions.
- The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
