About the Role
- This position involves working 10-hour days, 4 days a week, often including weekends.
- The starting salary is $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe operation of a garbage truck on assigned routes.
- Following route sheets to ensure all customers are serviced.
- Maintaining vehicles through routine inspections and maintenance checks.
- Loading and unloading trash without assistance.
- Courteous interaction with customers and completion of additional job-related tasks as needed.
Work Environment
- The role requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting and exposure to outdoor elements.
- Some risk is associated with this role due to moving mechanical parts, which requires adherence to basic safety protocols.
- Employees must adapt to changing weather conditions, including wet and humid environments.
Requirements
- A valid Class B CDL with an air brake endorsement is required.
