What You’ll Do
As a Swing Driver, you’ll be trained and expected to cover various truck types and routes, including:
- Roll-Off: Hauling large containers from commercial, industrial, and residential sites.
- Rear Load: Residential and small commercial waste collection.
- Front Load: Commercial waste pickup using front-loading trucks.
- Other hauling operations as needed.
- Safely operating different types of garbage trucks on assigned routes.
- Reading and following route sheets or dispatcher instructions.
- Performing pre- and post-trip inspections (fluids, tires, safety equipment).
- Interacting professionally and courteously with customers.
- Assisting with other duties as assigned to support the team.
- Valid Class A or B CDL with no automatic transmission restrictions.
- Clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of local route driving experience.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different vehicle types and route demands.
