What You’ll Do
As a Dispatch Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. Your day will include:
- Coordinating with multiple departments to resolve customer issues and ensure timely service.
- Handling inquiries related to missed pick-ups, misplaced containers, and property concerns.
- Analyzing routes and supporting drivers in the field when questions arise.
- Scheduling and dispatching work throughout the day to drivers and other team members.
- Using MS Office and proprietary systems to manage schedules, data, and reporting.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and promoting goodwill in every interaction.
- Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while identifying opportunities for additional services.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred but not required.
Experience
- 2 years in dispatch within transportation or logistics preferred.
- 2 years in customer service.
- Strong typing and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional, tactful approach when working with field personnel and customers.
