Class A Dump Truck Driver, Longview, WA

Waste Control, a Waste Connections company, is hiring for a Dump Truck Driver to join the team in Longview, Washington! This position will be hauling debris to Landfill up Headquarters Road.

Schedule- Monday - Friday 5:30am to 3:30pm with Occasional Overtime

Starting Rate of pay is $28.00/hr. Additionally we are offering $2,000 Stay on Bonus!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Valid Class A CDL license with air brake endorsement Required (With No Restrictions, on Manual Transmissions)

• Ability to Operate and Maneuver Dump Truck.

• Ability to read route sheets or Tablet and service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.

• Perform Daily Pre-trip and Post-Trip inspections on vehicles. Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure.

• Minimum 1 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

• Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws

• Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• The schedule will be Monday - Friday day shift, 45-50 hours per week, 5:30am to 3:30pm.

• Ability to work a physically demanding job.

• Willingness to submit to and pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test

• Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments

• Clean driving record.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

• Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.

• The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
