What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Trainee position at Waste Connections US, Inc?
Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a CDL Trainee to join our team in Seward, AK. We will train you and help you get your Class B CDL for free! The schedule will be Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm. The pay will be $23.00 per hour to start. Once you get your Class B CDL, you will get a raise to $26.00 per hour, and your schedule will change to what the schedule is for the route you choose. This is a labor-intensive position requiring regular heavy lifting. Must be 21 years or older to attend CDL School. We are looking for laborers who are interested in starting a driving career and grow, within the company. Responsibilities Include: Cleaning equipment with pressure washer Picking up litter General site cleanup Container Assembly Welding tasks could be assigned. Buffing, and painting dumpsters. Other assigned laborer duties Requirements: At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor/operator type position. Ability to safely use a pressure washer. Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift. Clean driving record Valid Class D drivers license.
