Our priority is to make sure we hire safe labors that care about the safety of our customers and team members. As a yard laborer with us the minimum responsibilities are:
- Checking trucks in and and directing traffic at site as necessary.
- Manual laborincluding paper picking, keeping the transfer station clean and presentable.
- Performyard workincluding cutting weeds.
- Climbing and tarping train cars.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.
- Operating light equipment such as:skid steers.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety andenvironmental practices.
- Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determinesafe and environmentally sound solutions toserviceissues.
What we need from you:
- One year of stable employment history in a similar environment.
- Ability to lift at least 75lbs and climb.
- Ability to work schedule in all weather conditions
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforcesafety procedures.
