What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assembler position at Washworld Inc?
Production Assembler
De Pere, WI
Monday–Thursday, 6:15 AM – 4:45 PM
At Washworld, Inc., we don’t just build cutting-edge automatic vehicle wash systems, we build a team of people who take pride in doing things right. For over 25 years, we’ve grown through innovation, quality, and a commitment to excellence. We’re proud of our clean, well-organized facility in De Pere, and we’re looking for hands-on, team-oriented Assemblers to help us bring our world-class equipment to life.
One of our employees described the work best: “It’s like adult Legos, there’s a process, you follow it, and you get a beautiful product at the end.” If you enjoy working with your hands, being part of a team, and seeing the direct results of your effort, this is the place for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assemble complete car wash systems step by step, following customer-specific orders. This isn’t conveyor-belt work, each build is different, giving you variety in your day and the chance to see a finished machine come to life
- Work as part of a collaborative team to ensure every unit is built to spec and on schedule
- Troubleshoot issues in partnership with Engineers and team leads
- Support other production-related tasks during downtime, materials prep, inventory, shop upkeep, etc.
- Follow a tight production and shipping schedule with pride and accountability
What You Bring to the Table
- You show up every day ready to go, dependable, punctual, and proud to be someone your team can count on.
- You take ownership of your work and your workspace, holding yourself to a high standard because that’s what the people around you do too.
- You’re hands-on and mechanically minded, comfortable using hand and power tools, and eager to keep learning.
- You pay close attention to detail, knowing that quality and safety are non-negotiables.
- You’re team-first, quick to jump in where needed, support your coworkers, and communicate clearly and respectfully.
- You’re adaptable and open to change, whether it’s building something new, helping with inventory, or improving a process.
- Bonus if you’ve got forklift experience or familiarity with plumbing or electrical work, but if you’re the right fit, we’ll train you.
What You’ll Get in Return
- Consistent 4-day workweek, Enjoy your Fridays off
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Health, dental, and life insurance options to support your wellbeing
- 401(k) with company match to help you plan for the future
- Paid time off – holidays, vacation, and even paid volunteer time
- Because we’re a smaller team, you won’t get lost in the crowd. You’ll have a voice, get to know your coworkers, and see your impact every day. Something you don’t always find in a larger company.
- Air-conditioned and heated production floor – no sweating through summer or freezing in winter
- Monthly birthday celebrations with lunch on us
- Fun company events including our summer picnic, anniversary milestones, and holiday party
- A workplace where your effort is noticed, your ideas are heard, and your teammates have your back
