Role Description The Bilingual Member Services Specialist is a full-time (preferred), on-site role based in Ypsilanti, MI. This position supports community members in understanding, applying for, and maintaining health coverage through Medicaid, Marketplace plans, and the Washtenaw Health Plan. Day-to-day tasks include conducting intake interviews, explaining program eligibility and benefits, assisting with applications and documentation, and responding to member questions by phone, in person, and in writing.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Three years of member/customer service experience
- Experience with non-profit and/or health agencies (preferred)
- Ability to work on-site in Ypsilanti, MI, collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws
- Two years of education in a field related to social work, public health, psychology, finance, or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
