What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Resort Manager position at WASHOE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION?
Position Summary:
Under direct supervision the Assistant Manager of the Resort assists in the daily operations of Meeks Bay Resort, including but not limited to the cabins, lodges, beaches, parking areas, campgrounds, retail services, food service, and all grounds included in the Forest Service permitted area. Responsible for the supervision of resort staff. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Duties:
Support the General Manager and act in their absence. Ensure safety and security of all guests, team members and vendors on property. Provide exceptional Guest Service and display actions that provide examples for team member behavior. Provide support across all roles by participating as needed. Must live on-site during the season for work schedule assigned.
Administrative:
Create and maintain hospitality standards for the Resort. Monitor and manager check-in/check-out process supporting the credit card and ID verification, and presentation of Tribal ID as needed for discounted rates. Assist the Resort Manager with planning, coordinating, and monitoring projects. Prepare and submit daily reports in coordination with daily POS system reports.
Financial:
Maintain records for inventory and vendor contact information. Review budget numbers to comply with expense and reimbursement policies. Complete daily reconciliations and daily cash reports and Bank deposits. Maintain Personnel records for payroll. Track and submit projected overtime requests to Resort Manager prior to hours worked.
Facility Development:
Support Housekeeping staff by inspecting and monitoring lodging/accommodation before release to incoming guests. Maintain security, safety and cleanliness of all lodging, campgrounds, restrooms, showers, Grill, store and general resort grounds. Maintain and stock inventory levels in the store and grille. Assist with menu preparation for the Grill. Manage guest response for service and supplies. Seek opportunities to improve efficiencies for housekeeping and daily Resort management.
Workforce:
Assist Resort Manager with interviewing, hiring, and training of Team Members. Assist with scheduling, monitor payroll and staffing levels/hours. Exhibit exemplary standards of Guest Service. Ensure training and enforcement of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) stations and inspections.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED and three years’ experience in the hospitality industry with one year in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must possess and maintain a valid California/Nevada driver’s license
- (OR) obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Must meet standards required for Insurance under the assigned Driving Policy.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
• Must successfully meet standards for background investigation.
• Preference is to Qualified Native American Indians.
