What are the responsibilities and job description for the Official Scorer (Summer 2026) position at Washington Wild Things?
The Washington Wild Things are looking for an official scorekeeper for the 2026 season. The scorer will be responsible for scoring the game and the duties assigned by the Vice President of Baseball Operations in relation to responsibilities in house and for the Frontier League.

- Securing of lineups and scoring entry
- Keep official scorebook during games
- Responsible for complete set up and tear down of scorekeeper equipment
- Responsible for statistic totals at completion of the game
- Running box scores to clubhouse and press box at the completion of the game
- Filling out weather suspension/postponement reports for league
Some scoring of baseball at the collegiate or professional level is preferred. A vast knowledge of the game and scoring rules is required. The scorer is paid on a per-game basis with a nightly game rate.
