The Washington Wild Things, a professional baseball team in the Frontier League, are seeking multiple individuals for Multimedia Internships for the 2026 season. The Multimedia Intern will complete tasks of a Photography and Graphic Design nature and will lend their hand in our in-game/broadcast productions. This individual will assist at home baseball games and events at the park by capturing and editing photos and performing basic graphic design tasks. Responsibilities:
- Operate DSLR cameras
- Capture images of:
- Game Action (Warmups, Intros, In-Game, Celebrations, etc.)
- Fans (Groups, Celebrations, etc.)
- Promotions (First Pitches, National Anthem Signers, 7th Inning Stretch, Performers, etc.)
- Mascot
- Events (SipAway Festival, Concerts, etc.)
- Assist on all assigned shoots and editing
- Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite (Photoshop)
- Develop ideas for graphic elements or promotions to be used during the season
- Organize and archive daily game photos
- Perform basic graphic design duties
- Create and update gameday social media graphics
- Create social media and video board advertisements
- Update/create new player headshot images for video board use
- Works home games, events, and daytime office hours if necessary
- Occasionally required to lift heavy loads and haul production gear
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Multimedia, or a related field preferred but not required
- Technical experience in photography and editing and/or experience in Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Receiving school credit for internship
- Passion for sports and general knowledge of baseball
- Energy to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment
- Able to assume other responsibilities as required
- Must be available to work from beginning (early-mid May) to end of season (early-mid September)
- Ability to handle numerous projects & meet deadlines
- Some experience in lighting and shoot setup is a plus
