Position Summary

The Technology Projects Coordinator will coordinate projects in conjunction with staff across University Libraries who are leading or working on projects and initiatives involving technologies throughout the Libraries with a focus on digital services. The candidate will support library technology projects, ensuring project plans are well documented and followed, issues that arise are addressed, and communication is clear, leading to a successful and timely implementation. Through adherence to project management principles and best practices, library technology projects will be positioned to support the WashU Libraries’ digital services, resources, and infrastructure.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a comprehensive and strategic process for project planning, project delivery, and communication for technology initiatives and projects at WashU Libraries.
  • Facilitate the work of library staff and relevant campus stakeholders, design project workflows and timelines, track progress of projects, and assess effectiveness of projects.
  • Create and maintain documentation of projects for project team members as well as other stakeholders, including meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.
  • Analyze and coordinate resources, both technical and staff, to ensure project timelines allow for the investment of technology and staff to lead to successful completion, both current projects and future projects. Communicate to stakeholders needs and recommendations as projects are considered.
  • Track expenses, hardware and software orders, and budget reports and communicate budget status to leadership over the course of the fiscal year.
  • Maintain awareness of national and international best practices and advances in technology project management, tools, and strategies by actively engaging in library technology and project management communities.

Salary Range

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
