Position Summary
Position is responsible for providing clinical office support which includes greeting and registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits and referrals, collecting co-payments, answering incoming patient phone calls, assisting with patient messages, medication refill requests and mediation prior authorizations.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
- Greets patients, assisting with form completion; verifies accuracy of patient's insurance and demographic information; provides HIPAA forms, consent-to-treat forms and other necessary clinic forms.
- Collects co-pays for services; verifies and balances receipts and payments.
- Reviews schedule for new patients, updating when necessary. Calls patients with appointment time reminder, obtaining insurance information and referral forms.
- Schedules return patient appointments and patient testing.
- Assists patients with insurance questions regarding billing process.
- Assists staff with sending patient appointment reminders along with other related scheduling duties as needed.
- Answers incoming patient phones calls and directs them to appropriate personnel.
- Assists with Epic inbasket tasks, including patient messages and refill requests to distribute them appropriately.
- Assists with incoming faxes and shared email folders to distribute them appropriately.
- Assists families with MyChart account access, provides school / work excuse notes, and assistance with CHADIS as requested by providers.
- Submits prior authorization requests per office guidelines.
- Cross coverage of other office staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
17.34 - $25.40 / Hourly
