Campus Security Monitor - Yolo / Alternative Education
Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned administrator, patrol and supervise student conduct
on campus activities to assure the well-being and safety of students, staff and visitors. Assure student compliance with school and district policies and regulations. Provide security after-hours at school functions.

*Conduct discrete and individual conversations with students to determine both social emotional and physical needs
*Create an inclusive culture where all students feel safe and know their concerns will be treated with respect.
*Notice and interrupt harassment that is taking place and follow reporting policies
*Demonstrate high sensitivity, good interpersonal skills, and thoughtfulness
*Ability to navigate the need for gentleness vs firm responses based on the needs of students and the situation.
*Be vigilant and attentive, constantly scanning the surroundings for potential threats, harms, or student needs
*Recognize the need for students to learn from their actions, how those actions may affect others, and the need to make amends to those harms or wrongs.
*Respond to incidents in confidential and private areas, providing support and accountability.
