Job Summary
Under supervision, performs a full range of accounts payable, receiving, and recordkeeping work involving the maintenance of financial and statistical records. Typical duties will include, but are not limited to, keeping ledger accounts utilizing computer system, balancing accounts and checking and correcting irregularities, receiving approved purchase requests and preparing and processing purchase orders, receiving all bills and invoices, verifying charges and compliance with quantities received and/or ordered, following up on back-orders and non-delivery of goods, processing payments of approved charges for goods and services. Assist District personnel with out-of-area travel as liaison and consultant; process and arrange travel and conference requests using District guidelines to determine appropriateness of the expenditure; audit for accuracy and management approval. Other duties will include gathering, tabulating, check and assembling other financial or statistical data, including budget information. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Training and experience: Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain such knowledge and abilities would be: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in maintaining financial or statistical records, preferably with at least one year experience in payroll work.
